Chongqing - On May 30, the Closing Ceremony of the Belt and Road international Skills Competition was held in Chongqing International Expo Center, which Splendidly concluded the 2 day’s fierce competition. BRISC is hosted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People’s Republic of China, National Development and Reform Commission, China International Development Cooperation Agency, and Chongqing Municipal People’s Government.

At the Closing Ceremony, awards presentation and wonderful performances pushed the venue atmosphere to high tide. Among warm plagues, the participants of 18 competition items were awarded the championship.

BRISC demonstrates the positive results from the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, and it is also the skills competition with the most participants from foreign countries and regions so far in China. 698 participants from 44 countries and regions took part in BRISC under 18 competition items such as Electronics, Automobile Technology, Electrical Installations, Fashion Technology, Water Technology, Health, and Social Care. At the competition venue, the wonderful exhibitions of Chongqing craftsmanship and equipment and technology enterprises were carried out. BRISC showcased excellent skills from different countries and amazing craftsmanship with Chongqing characteristics.

The 57 cooperative parties from 11 countries and regions including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Hong Kong signed 42 cooperation agreements at BRISC. These cooperation agreements involved areas such as school-enterprise cooperation, school-school cooperation, the establishment of a training base for the world skills Competition, and the construction of a high-skilled personnel training base.
