The 2019 Booming June · Art Tour in Chuanmei Creative Valley kicked off on June 10. Supported by Chuanmei Creative Valley, art bases of Huangjueping, and other art schools and colleges of Chongqing. This themed event was a grand and delightful sensory feast for all ages in the early days of summer.

Artworks of Pang Maokun and other SFAI big names will show up

This art gala consists of the five parts of the opening ceremony, art-based exhibition, performance, trade fair, and on-site experience, with 17 sub-projects in total. The main venue is Yangjiaping Pedestrian Street, and the parallel sessions will be held in many art bases around Chuanmei Creative Valley and Huangjueping.

This event has gathered over 10,000 artworks from graduates this year. The exhibitions in Sichuan Fine Arts Institute (SFAI) Huangjueping Campus and Yangjiaping Pedestrian Street will last until June 15, which are free of charge, along with related performances.

At the opening ceremony, art collections of Pang Maokun, Zhang Jie, Hou Baochuan, Weng Kaixuan, Chen Anjian, and other SFAI-based art masters would show up on Yangjiaping Pedestrian Street.

Come shop for potential masterpieces

Compared with past years, this year’s art tour shows more concern about integrating culture and art with tourism and life, striving to build a platform combining tour, shopping, sightseeing, and entertainment for citizens of all ages to interact with art.

Visitors can experience the pop and electronic music show on the pedestrian street and participate in the fashion show by college students.

Moreover, this bazaar will exhibit and sell cultural tourism featured products from districts and counties of Chongqing and the creative works of college students, covering the traditional art of oil painting, traditional Chinese painting, sculpture, as well as the folk art of printmaking, lacquer painting, and rattan plaited articles. Visitors can enjoy the pottery sculpture, artistic photography, and other popular arts there and buy their favorites at fair prices.
