According to Liangjiang New Area Investment-attraction Group, the National Robot Inspection, and Evaluation Center (the Center (Chongqing)) which is located at Liangjiang New Area Shuitu High-tech Industrial Park has obtained the laboratory accreditation certificate from the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS). The official operation of the center will help the robot industry in the western region to upgrade its core technology.

The National Robot Inspection and Evaluation Institution, which is the only one in Western China, is put into operation in Chongqing

The National Robot Inspection and Evaluation Center consists of four branches in Shanghai, Chongqing, Guangzhou, and Shenyang, respectively. Among them, the Center (Chongqing) is the only national third-party robot inspection and evaluation agency in Western China.

With a total investment of 300 million RMB, the Center (Chongqing) covers an area of 30,000 square meters, including a test site of 15,000 square meters. The completed buildings and facilities include the R&D building, NVH laboratory, EMC laboratory, industrial robot laboratory, service robot laboratory, environment laboratory, and spare parts laboratory. Nearly 200 sets of testing equipment are already in place.

The center values investment of RMB 300 million in total

The testing scope of the Center (Chongqing) includes industrial robots, service robots, specialized robots, drones, intelligent products as well as servo motors, reducers, power batteries, controllers, and communication components. The testing capability covers more than 100 standards and over 300 testing items (parameters).

The Center (Chongqing) will also formulate and revise relevant standards for the robotics industry concurrently, conduct systematic assessment and certification of robots, build the quality system for robots and advanced intelligent equipment, engage in the R&D and application of the robotics industry, the R&D of professional testing equipment, technical consultation, professional training and personnel training of robots. Meanwhile, based on Chongqing, it will provide services to the four core industries of the automobile and spare parts, electronic information, food processing, and household appliances and furniture in the central and western regions in respect of the system solutions and services for digital production lines & workshops and intelligent factories.
