On June 26, the first freighter flights to Africa left from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport

Starting with two flights per week, the airline is expected to add flights based on demand. As the first regular freight route linking Chongqing and South Asia and Africa, it will boost economic and trade communication between the Mountain City and those emerging markets. Additionally, it can develop international aviation logistics market in Chongqing, and serve economic and social growth here.

The freight route is going to satisfy transportation demands on laptops, mobile phones, and other products from Chongqing to the Middle East, India, and Africa, covering over 3 billion people. Thanks to that, the city can open wider to the world and make more convenient and efficient connectivity, joint contribution, and shared benefits with countries along the Belt and Road.
