Chongqing - The evening of July 22, 2019, witnessed an incredible show with songs and dances presented by more than 130 university students from Taiwan and Chongqing in the downtown area of Yuzhong District.

Along with the songs, 26 students from Chongqing and Taiwan walked from different directions, holding fluorescent boards were reading landmarks and famous food in both places such as Hongyadong, hot pot, Ximending, and pearl milk tea. Many citizens stopped to appreciate.
Ms. Zhang, a Chongqing local, said that it was the first time for her to see students from Chongqing and Taiwan singing and dancing together. "Welcome Taiwanese students. Come to Chongqing frequently. I hope they can feel the hospitality of the Chongqing people,” she added.
Luo Kaiwen, a student in Chongqing, said, “This show serves as an opportunity to communicate with students in Taiwan, and I appreciated that very much.” And Yang Kaiting, a student from Taiwan, said, “It is a precious experience to perform in Jiefangbei CBD, and Chongqing people are hospitable.”
According to the Chongqing Cross-Strait Exchange Promotion Association, this event was an important part of the activity. This was the Seventh Taiwan University Students Chongqing Practice, which launched on July 10. Nearly 80 Taiwanese students interned for 11 months in Chongqing, to deepen the exchanges between the youth on both sides of the strait. There are 50 students from Chongqing who joined the program as volunteers.
