A dreamy chapter of your childhood bedtime stories, the musical Cinderella won 9 Tony Awards nominations and has been popular in dozens of countries and regions for half a century. Now, the only Broadway exclusively authorized mandarin version lands in Chongqing Grand Theatre in 2019 - Let the magic begin!

This time, with the magic of Celine Dion, you can see the costumes changed in a minute, a pumpkin transformed into a carriage, the flying broom and teapot, and the world lowest rotating platform, the palace, the small town, the castles and cabins switching like a magic cube. As a real court ball reappeared on the stage, a dreamy and magnificent Cinderella was attired in one of the 150 splendid dresses designed by the designer at the National Theatre of the UK and a team of members from 5 countries.

The reemergence of Broadway Classic

Cinderella has been played on Broadway for nearly 800 times and in other dozens of countries and regions. Apart from the 9 Tony nominations, it has also won numbers of different widely recognized awards such as Drama Desk Award and Drama League Award.

The original English version of Cinderella granted its copyright to Seven Ages Investment Co., Ltd. in 2017. Seven Ages and Poly Performing Arts Co., Ltd. then adapted it into mandarin, and now they are representing the classic Cinderella by the golden partner Rodgers and Hammerstein. This is the first and the only one mandarin version of Broadway musical Cinderella for half a century.
