Chongqing — The Smart China Expo is a grand collective gathering of technology and smart industry. With the conference fast approaching, the third press conference of the Smart China Expo 2019 was held on 24 August. Here are the four highlights for you to look forward to.

The high level of internationalization

This year's expo is more international than last year. Representatives from nearly 60 countries and regions are expected to attend the expo, including leaders of international organizations, well-known foreign scholars, and executives of fortune 500 companies. In addition, foreign exhibitors accounted for 13.6 percent of the exhibition area, 4.2 points higher than last year. The eight international events being held at the expo attract more than 400 foreign teams and competitors from 21 countries and regions.

The deep degree of specialization

Sticking to the theme of "Smart technology: empowering (the) economy, enriching life", Smart China Expo 2019 focuses on gathering professionals for meaningful exchanges and discussions. Topics include intelligent manufacturing, 5G technology, industrial Internet, artificial intelligence, cutting-edge technologies in intelligent fields, the latest achievements in industrial development, smart technology hot issues, and suggestions for cooperative development.

Smart China Expo getting more recognition worldwide

Compared with the first Smart China Expo, this year’s expo improved dramatically in scale. With more exhibitions, more distinguished guests, and more participants. According to the expo committee, Smart China Expo 2019 has attracted well-known foreign and domestic media.  Chongqing TV and other news media will broadcast the event.

The Smart experience square has been enhanced

Based on the smart experience square set up in the first Smart China Expo, three new smart experience areas have been added. It has demonstrated cutting-edge technologies of big data and multiple future life scenes. These include intelligent medical treatment, hydrogen fuel cars, driverless driving, AR games, smart trails, and more, to demonstrate the bright prospects of futuristic smart life. This year, the three new smart experience areas, including Lijia smart eco-city, have been opened to the public for free. The expo has also set up a Chongqing pavilion, with an exhibition area of 2000 square meters. It comprehensively displays the new achievements of intelligent development of big data in Chongqing since the first Smart China Expo.
