During the interview, Mrs. Reker indicated that Chongqing and Cologne have a similar geographical location. Cologne is on the banks of the Rhine, and Chongqing is where the two rivers meet. It is precisely because of this factor that the two cities have become a place for trade distribution in the past 100 years. Both cities are industrial cities, and perhaps coincidentally, both cities have a significant similarity, that is, Ford has branches in both cities.
Mrs. Reker said that she would sign the memorandum of understanding on the establishment of friendly relations between Chongqing and Cologne with Mayor Tang Liangzhi on 26th to develop the relationship better. Chongqing and Cologne will work to enhance their friendship, and eventually, establish future cooperation.
