On Sept. 23, a Chongqing Photography Exhibition celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China opened at the Gallery of Chongqing Federation of Literature. The exhibition attracted 150 exquisite works of photographers across Chongqing.

This exhibition aims at demonstrating the great achievements made by all walks of life of Chongqing in the past 70 years with excellent photographs. In the early days leading up to the exhibition, the Organizing Committee collected a total of 10,000 pictures through public and critical solicitation. Through three rounds of sifting, 150 photos finally stood out and were displayed.

This exhibition falls into five parts including Opening, A Land of Natural Beauty and A City with Cultural Appeal, A Land of Openness, A City with Development, A Land of Happiness, A City with Dream, and Conclusion. Selected photographs show the historical changes of Chongqing, the beauty of the city, countryside, and ecological environment, and the great achievements made in its rapid development. Meanwhile, these vivid photographs also show civilians’ happiness, sense of gain, and the heartfelt love of the cadres and the masses for the Chinese Communist Party and the country.

The exhibition will last until Oct. 8, during which citizens who are interested in it can go to the Gallery to visit for free.
