Culture Cafe: Sharing Ghostly Traditions

By XIAO WU|Oct 26,2019

Welcome to our fresh new program, Culture Cafe, where we are going to be diving deeper into the local culture of Chongqing, and China, and talking about some of the things that make Chongqing a super exciting place to visit, or to live. Our hosts Mikkel and Xiao, will touch upon interesting similarities and differences among the eastern and western cultures.

Halloween is drawing closer. As it is related to spirits and ghosts, it also shares striking similarities with many festivals around the world, such as China's Ghost Festival, and you may never have heard of them. In this episode, we are joined by our friend Patrick from the U.S, who has been living in Chongqing for just over a year. He will join our discussion to share the ghostly traditions of the west and east.  Check out the video!
