The 14th China Intelligent Robot Conference was held in Chongqing on October 28. More than 200 experts and scholars from around the country, such as Xiong Youlun, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Yang Huayong, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, attended the conference. They exchanged results, summed up the experience, and looked to the future of intelligent robots and intelligent manufacturing, as well as explored the development strategy of smart robots.

More than 200 experts and scholars attended the conference.

This China Intelligent Robot Conference was hosted by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI). The participants conducted extensive exchanges and in-depth discussions on such subjects as the basic theory of robot, intelligent control, intelligent navigation and positioning, perception and interaction, intelligent detection and recognition, intelligent robot, and application through the special reports from academicians and experts as well as six sub-forums. This Conference demonstrates China’s strength in AI, smart robot systems, and intelligent manufacturing and equipment.

The Conference also accepted 97 papers covering the R&D, application, and product development of intelligent robots and other related fields, as well as the development direction and strategy of smart robots, reflecting the latest progress and achievements in the research of smart robots in China.

“So far, robotics and AI technology have been regarded as a national development strategy. This Conference is a grand gathering of China’s scientific circle, academic circle, and industrial circle of intelligent robot, and will contribute to the science and technology and industrial development of intelligent robots in China,” said Professor Fu Yili, Chairman of the Conference, when delivering a speech.

The experts also held that intelligent robots are the era pioneer of technological innovation, and the Conference not only highly fits the implementation of big data intelligent strategy of Chongqing but also promotes the more extensive cooperation and collaborative innovation between Chongqing and all sectors in the field of intelligent robots, thereby helping develop Chongqing into a talent highland and high-tech hotspot.
