Chongqing, the secret metropolis of China, is a city of extremes that defies description. Towering futuristic skyscrapers cut through forests of old buildings. Fiery hot and numbing local dishes with a flavor so bold, even the locals pause before taking a bite. Equally, the fiery local spirit pulses through the locals in the city. Surrounding the city itself is a blanket of forested mountains, towering peaks, and crashing waterfalls that beckon each and every visitor, foreign and locals alike. From the city’s skin to its soul, getting to know the city of Chongqing, is an experience you will not easily forget.
