On October 31, in terms of the press conference from 2019 China Mountain Marathon Series (mountain marathon) Chongqing Qianjiang Station (International Competition), the event will be held on November 24th in Qianjiang District, Chongqing.

This mountain marathon was jointly organized by the China Mountaineering Association, the Chongqing Municipal Sports Bureau, and the Qianjiang District People's Government. It comes with three events: public fitness competition, the 23km, and 42km individual competitions. The total prize purse for the event is RMB 280,000, including 180,000 yuan in the series (international competition) and 100,000 yuan in the annual finals. It is expected to attract 3,000 competitors from home and aboard to participate.

"This event is the annual final of China's Mountain Marathon. The competition level is higher and more intense, the challenge is stronger, and the bonus setting is more abundant", said a representative in charge of the National Sports General Administration Mountaineering Management Center, this year's track will continue to use the previous two competition routes, including dirt roads, machine farm roads, stone roads, highways, riverbanks, bridges, and culverts. “The players will start from the canyon with a vertical drop of 500 meters and cross the mountains. The lines connect many well-known scenic spots in the Lancang River, which also highlights the outdoor sports features of the mountain,” said the representative from Qianjiang District.

Besides the mountain marathon, the Qianjiang District will also hold a series of activities such as the Mountain Marathon Annual Meeting, the “Belt and Road” baseball and softball game, the mountain marathon closing ceremony, and the awards evening.
