Yew Chung International School of Chongqing: More Specific Fairs Will Help Organizations with Highly-Competent People

By XINYI LIYILING WANG|Nov 01,2019

China’s economy has entered a brand-new stage, which requires a higher quality of highly-competent labors. Located in the Western area in this country, Chongqing, an inland in China, particularly needs more top-quality talented professionals. Therefore, Chongqing will hold the Chongqing Talents Conference this November, discussing the development and internationalization of talents here.

The Yew Chung International School of Chongqing settled down in this city 18 years ago, making it one of the first international schools here. Very few people understood it is a school but regarded it as a training institution. This made it hard to recruit highly-quality professionals. Meanwhile, it was difficult to find bilingual teachers who understood and loved the school. During their difficult times, the school tried to find people with an open mind and good-learning capacity and trained them themselves.

As time went by, Chongqing promoted the policy of opening-up in inland China. More and more bilingual or trilingual people appeared. Yew Chung went to many campuses in Chongqing to promote recruitment and build a partnership with universities to train a group of appropriate talents. In addition, they established cooperation with online recruitment agents, such as Liepin, Zhaopin, or 51job, to ensure multiple channels of recruitment. On the other hand, in addition to Chinese teachers, Yew Chung requires international teachers, too. To hire excellent teachers, they cooperated with international recruitment agents, such as Teaching Horizon, Teaching Anywhere, Seek Teachers, and more. Also, they will take part in the overseas teachers' job fair.

For the future, there will be talents with many skills because the market and society keep changing. For Yew Chung International School of Chongqing, they hope that Chongqing’s human resource market can organize some talent exchange fairs or international job fairs to learn from each other. Also, they hope that there will be more fairs with specific aspects, like education or other industries, to exchange different perspectives. This will support the development of human resources in this city.
