2019 Chongqing Talents Conference kicked off in Chongqing Yuelai International Convention Center on Nov.9. 

Over 100 distinguished guests, including leaders of national ministries and commissions, world-renowned experts and scholars, well-known entrepreneurs, as well as presidents of prestigious universities, attended the opening ceremony of the conference. Around 15000 participants will attend the two-day conference.

The Chongqing TalentPeople'sPeople'sence (CQTC) is an annual event hosted by the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and Chongqing Municipal People's Government. As a talent attraction event and an international cooperation platform for the exchange of ideas, project cooperation, and talent matchmaking, CQTC aims to empower Chongqing's high-quality development by pooling talent resources and gathering collective strength.

Following a theme of "Talent Pool From Home and Abroad, Concerted Efforts for High-quality Development"，the CQTC holds 36 events, including meetings, forums, roadshows, competitions and symposiums, which touch upon topics that include big data and smart technology, advanced manufacturing, coordinating rural and urban development, Western Development talent development and the ecological environment.

The Awarding Ceremony of National Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base for Overseas Professional of China Association for Science and Technology was held during the opening ceremony of the CQTC. The base is located in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area and aims to attract high-end professionals to relocate to Chongqing through open, attractive and encouraging policies.
