The 2019 New Financial Summit of Jiangbeizui will be held at Chongqing Grand Theater on this 12th. This grand event will gather over 20 financial intellectuals from home and abroad to Chongqing to brainstorm on highlighted issues in this field and thus deepen the dialogue and cooperation in finance between Chongqing and the globe.

Themed a “New Era, New Finance, and New Vitality,” this summit consists of the six parts of the opening ceremony, signing ceremony, financial prospect, keynote speech, dialogue, and closing speech. It has invited several big names of the financial field to Jiangbeizui to discuss the topics of the large-scale development of the western region. Their goal is co-building the Belt and Road, the green development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, aiming to know more about the international financial trend, integrate emerging tech, and promoting financial reform.

Finn E. Kydland, a Norwegian economist and co-recipient of the 2004 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics, will deliver a keynote speech titled “Across the Economic Circle, the Power of Finance will Reshape the Era.” During the closing speech part, He Liping, a member of the Chinese Economists 50 Forum and professor of the Finance Department, Beijing Normal University, will give a speech named “Financial Center will be the New Engine for Regional Economic Growth.”

Notably, during this period, Jiangbei District will cooperate with the Chinese Museum of Finance Group to build Chongqing Finance Museum (tentative name) at Jiangbeizui. It will be an institution opening to the public and carry out universal education of financial knowledge, facilitate finance-related research and exchanges, hold economic lectures and training, and provide other comprehensive services.
