The 2nd Flower Expo Closes, Greeting 1.48 Million Visitors

On November 7, the 2nd Yangtze River Upstream City Flower Art Expo, which brought great happiness to people, closed at Jiangbeizui CBD in Jiangbei District.

After months of preparation, the 7-day event integrated a flower feast with exhibitions, conferences, competitions, and activities. Four themes and ten exhibition parks covered 30,000 m2, offering a total of 100,000 m2 tour area. This event pictured harmonious co-existence of flowers, horticulture, cities, nature, and human, and made a model of a happy life in a beautiful city with mountains and rivers. Hundreds of famous experts, scholars, and business representatives attended the high-end summit, giving voices to riverside city-based urban regeneration, quality improvement, ecological restoration, and other topics.

“Mountains and Waters in Chongqing” Outdoor Attraction Arrangement Invitational Tournament attracted 21 districts and counties and units of Chongqing, which “painted” the city with flowers. Other activities included the 8th China Bonsai Seminar & Chongqing 1st China Exquisite Bonsai Invitational Exhibition, University Construction Season, “Flowers in Chongqing, Praise of Time” Performance, “Flowers in World” Musical Festival, creative culture products collection, science popularization study tour of teenagers, “Colorful Time” Shopping and Food Festival. The Flower Expo, exploring varied values of the exhibition, improved urban quality, stimulated inter-city communication, powered industrial development, and encouraging citizen engagement.

The consecutively-held Flower Expo now becomes an attractive name card for Chongqing to open wider to the world, increase popularity, introduce investment and industrial power transformation, and development. On the day of the Opening Ceremony, Jiangbei District, where this year’s Flower Expo was held, nearly 60 projects were signed between Marriott International, Aokeduopu, Leyou Tourism Group, Chongqing Shunfeng Zhida Supply Chain Management, Chongqing Ebusiness Industrial Park · Rongjing Center, valuing over RMB 70 billion.
