Chongqing- The 2^nd International Symposium on Hydrotherapy and Climatotherapy Tourism of China is to take place in Chongqing Municipality Nov. 27th -28th, according to the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development November 21, 2019.

Highlights of the second symposium

The symposium includes the annual meeting of consultants, keynote speeches and activities.

The annual meeting for consultants will be about the working plan for the hot spring tourism in Chongqing next year and arrangements for consultants. Meanwhile, consultants on Hydrotherapy and Climatotherapy will take part in the videos to talk about relevant functions of hot springs.

International top-notched experts have been invited to share and discuss five topics: training for professionals, the creation and operation of destinations for hydrotherapy tourism, recovery function of hot springs, services and the development of climatotherapy-related products by using evaluation models. All theses will be published as a result.

Activities are friendship-tree planting, an unveiling ceremony, an opening ceremony for the symposium, an awarding ceremony, a certificate-presenting ceremony and a signing ceremony for a strategic agreement and important projects.

A short review of last year's symposium

Last October witnessed the first edition of the symposium on hot springs. And five months earlier before that, Chongqing proposed to upgrade tourism development by leveraging its Three Gorges, the mountainous city, local culture, hot springs, and the countryside, so as to build Chongqing into a famous tourist destination in the world.

During the first symposium, platforms were announced to establish such as the Chongqing Office of the World Federation of Hydrotherapy and Climatotherapy, the Asia-Pacific Institute for Hydrotherapy and Climatotherapy Tourism, and the Chongqing Hot Spring Tourism Association. Moreover, 17 experts from China, Italy, Russia, Japan, and Hungary formed the first batch of consultants for Chongqing.
