Chongqing - An economics professor opened his third family art exhibition in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality on November 23, 2019. Mr. Pu Yongjian, a professor at Chongqing University, and his wife He Ailian held their annual art exhibition on Saturday.

Generally speaking, the art exhibition included artworks with Chinese and western elements, a good explanation of international and inclusive Chongqing city. "I like Chinese culture and western culture, and more, the combination of the two," said professor Pu in an exclusive interview with iChongqing.

The artworks on display this year mainly showed tourism resources in Chongqing for many paintings were about the beautiful scenery in the city. The couple has a lovely boy, now a primary school student in Chongqing. Some Chinese pictures and oil paintings at the exhibition demonstrated the family's love for life.

"My family love painting, nature, and culture," professor Pu told iChongqing and added, "We keep painting and hold the family art exhibition on an annual basis to present our works." The art exhibition served as a way to show "an ordinary interpretation of life and beauty."

As a professor at Chongqing University, professor Pu also drew a lot about the famous university locally and nationally. When talking about his international students, he said, "I communicated with my international students not only on academic topics but also on cultural aspects." Marco Bonaglia, a student of professor Pu, said, "Being here today is an honor. Professor Pu has a beautiful family, and I really feel part of his team. They always make me feel at home."
