Wushan County Gymnasium observed the grand opening of the 13th Wushan International Red Leaf Festival and the 4th Wushan Goddess Cup Art Film Week on the evening of November 22.

The opening ceremony was sponsored by the Publicity Department of the CPC Committee of Wushan County and Wushan Commission of Culture and Tourism Development. As of this year, Wushan International Red Leaf Festival has been held for 13 consecutive years.

Following the theme of the City of Goddess Love, the opening ceremony of this red leaf festival.

They presented the customs of Wushan, the Three Gorges culture, and all-for-one tourism in the form of a stage play that includes songs and dances, Chinese folk art forms and acrobatics, instrumental music performances, musicals, and microfilms.

These shows told the stories of the goddess, red leaves, and the daily life of the ordinary people in Wushan. “We will surely serve the tourists an artistic and cultural visual feast with Wushan features, to further improve the influence and reputation of the local folk culture and tourism.”

Besides, there were also a series of red leaf themed activities during this festival. November 23 saw the launch of the outdoor performance I Want to Celebrate the Festival with You in the Wushan Goddess Scenic Area.

The classical dancing Li Ren Xing was also staged in the scenic area.

In addition, the 4th Wushan Goddess Cup Art Film Week was opened on November 22 and will last until November 28. Rich and varied activities during the film week will allow the audience to experience the artistic atmosphere and folk customs of Wushan.
