On December 3, the Chinese Society of Cultural Relics and Architectural Society of China co-host the Fourth Edition of the 20th-Century Chinese Architectural Heritage List Release & Seminar on Architectural Heritage Inheritance and Innovation to Celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China in Beijing. Four out of the 98 newly-added buildings are in Chongqing. They are the former site of the office building of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee on Pipa Mountain, Chongqing Gymnasium, modern buildings in Chongqing Nankai Secondary School, and the old site of Eighth Route Army Chongqing Office.

Since 2016, the 20th-Century Chinese Architectural Heritage List has incorporated 396 buildings, including memorials, the ones for performance arts, and assembly halls. The number of 20th-century architectural heritage in Chongqing now totals 20.

The other 16 are listed as follows: Chongqing People’s Auditorium, People’s Liberation Monument, Huangshan Historical Sites of the War of Resistance, former site of National Political Assembly, former site of the mansion of Chief of Staff of the China Theater Supreme Command of the Allies of World War II, former sites of the Legislative Yuan, Judicial Yuan and Mongolian and Tibetan Affairs Commission of the National Government, former site of China Defense League Headquarters, former sites of arsenals for the War of Resistance, buildings for the War of Resistance around Chongqing South Hot Springs Park, modern buildings in Chongqing University, former sites of Central Bank of China and Farmers Bank of China & Sichuan Meifeng Bank, former site of National Roosevelt Library & National Government Central Library, former site of 816 Nuclear Military Plant, former site of West China Academy of Sciences (Chongqing), former sites of financial institutions during the War of Resistance, Chongqing Heping Hotel.
