Chongqing- On December 20, Banan Wanzhou Winter Tourism Joint Promotion Conference was held at King World Hotel Chongqing. As the brother districts, which share the Yangtze River, Banan and Wanzhou jointly promoted the cultural tourism resources of both sides, opening a new chapter of cultural tourism here in the warm and charming winter. Additionally, there were featured cultural performances at the conference site.

Based on their own and winter climate characteristics of both districts, winter tourism featured brands and boutique themed routes are freshly released. The conference introduced the winter tourism characteristic resources in Banan and Wanzhou districts in detail, according to the theme. Meanwhile, the conference also released two-region winter boutique tourism routes, themed as Hot Springs, Ancient Towns, City, Pastoral, and Homestay, covering dozens of towns and scenic spots in two districts and counties. Banan and Wanzhou are inviting tourists and citizens to enjoy the beautiful winter there.

Since ancient times, Banan has been endowed with unique natural resources. Hot spring resources account for 49% of Chongqing and forest area accounts for 50% of Chongqing's main city. With the rapid development in recent years, Banan now has one national key cultural relics protection unit and five municipal cultural protection units. Meanwhile, it has 60 national, municipal and district-level intangible cultural heritages such as Mudong folk songs, Solitaire blows and so on. Moreover, there are 159 cultural tourism projects under construction and under construction in the district. For example, Chongqing Hanhai Ocean Park is the largest marine theme park in the southwest. Huaxi Cultural and Sports Center has become a new landmark of Chongqing international sports culture.

On the other hand, winter is the most beautiful season in Wanzhou. It is also a season full of hope and happiness. Since the beginning of winter, Wanzhou district had held Wanzhou Grilled Fish Festival, Chongqing Wanzhou's Fifth Sports Cup · Winter Crossing Yangtze River Swimming Invitational Tournament, and more. The superposition effect of food, tourism, culture, and sports, shows the development of Wanzhou's tourism. Besides, it also promotes well-known brands in Wanzhou and enhances the image of Wanzhou city.

The cooperation of Banan and Wanzhou is a new chapter to both sides to develop cultural tourism. At the conference, the District Commission of Cultural and Tourism Development of both sides signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Also, representative scenic spots and travel agencies of two districts signed cooperation agreements, respectively. Two districts are going to implement the combined ticketing system for scenic spots through the exchange of media resources and the sharing of tourist groups. Therefore, the interaction of cooperation between Banan and Wanzhou will accelerate the establishment of tourism development to achieve information exchange, joint development, collaborative construction, and mutual sharing.
