According to the Information Office of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, the Western China (Chongqing) International Agricultural Products Fair (CCIAPF) is held in Chongqing International Convention & Exhibition Center from January 10 to 13, when 63 delegations and more than 2,400 domestic and foreign enterprises will participate in the exhibition, and over 6,900 products will be available.

As a member of the Agricultural and Rural Work Committee of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and Deputy Director of Chongqing Municipal Agricultural and Rural Committee, Chen Yong introduced that the theme of this CCIAPF is “Boosting Rural Revitalization, Promoting Opening-up and Cooperation.” The 30,000-square-meter exhibition space is divided into six exhibition areas, namely the Belt and Road & International Area, the Area of the Yangtze River Economic Belt & Western Development Strategy, the Area of “Chongqing Flavor” Branded Agricultural Products, the Area of the Agricultural Product Processing Industry, the Area of Characteristic Agricultural Products from Chongqing’s Villages and Towns of Extreme Poverty, and the Area of Bayu Intoxicating Villages & Premium Climate Brands.

During the CCIAPF, nine significant events will be staged, namely the Opening Ceremony, the Investment Attraction, and Contract Signing Activities of Chongqing Rural Revitalization Major Projects, the Summit on Integrated Urban and Rural Development, the Brand Launch of Premium Climate Brands, the Conference of Chongqing-Shandong-Guangdong Agricultural Products Production and Marketing Matchmaking & Shandong-Chongqing Poverty Alleviation through Collaborative Consumption, the Agricultural Products Import and Export Platform Matchmaking Conference, the Agricultural Products Export Demonstration Base Awarding & Memorandum of Cooperation Signing Ceremony, the Brand Promotion of High-quality Agricultural Products, the Poverty Alleviation via Network and Innovation Relay, etc.

At present, the exhibition and investment attraction work has been completed. There are 63 exhibition groups, over 2,400 domestic and foreign enterprises (over 100 more than that in the last year), over 6,900 products (over 100 more than that in the previous year), and over 300 professional purchasers.

Co-sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA), the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League Central Committee and Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, the CCIAPF is one of the 19 agricultural fairs jointly sponsored by the MARA and provincial governments and a key agriculture brand fair built by Chongqing. So far, the CCIAPF has been held for 18 sessions.
