Chongqing- The Third Session of the Fifth CPPCC Chongqing Municipal Committee opened in the morning of Jan. 10 2020, it went through the report Standing Committee of the Fifth Session of the Chongqing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference on the Work of Proposals Since the Second Session of the Fifth CPPCC at the meeting. The members of the CPPCC, the participating units of the CPPCC, and the special committees have actively used proposals to fulfill their duties. It received 1,679 proposals in 2019 that were focusing on Chongqing's "five major developments."
The 3rd Session of the 5th CPPCC Chongqing Municipal Committee opened in Chongqing, on 10th Jan. 2020.
In 2019, the CPPCC received a total of 1,674 proposals, of which 1,660 were proposed by the General Assembly, and 14 were proposed by usual channels.
After review, 1,224 cases were filed, and 960 cases were handled after the case, of which 804 were members' proposals, and 156 were collective proposals. In terms of content, 261 proposals are for economic construction, accounting for 27.2%; 106 are for political construction, accounting for 11%; 172 are for cultural construction, accounting for 17.9%; 207 are for social construction, accounting for 21.6%; ecological construction were 214 cases, accounting for 22.3%.
