The municipal health authority also announced 35 newly confirmed cases from the day before, one in critical condition, but one in a dangerous condition was reduced. Banan District, Jiangjin District, Tongnan District, and Qijiang District reported first confirmed cases. Until now, 1,106 people who had close contact with the patients in Chongqing have been traced, twenty-one of them were removed from medical observation, seven of them were confirmed cases, and 1,078 people still under medical observation.

The medical team is composed of medical staff from 11 tertiary hospitals, including the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission, the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, and Chongqing University Cancer Hospital, and more. The team has a total of 144 people, mainly experts in disciplines such as respiratory medicine, infectious disease, and critical medicine. The medical team will go to the leading hospitals in Xiaogan Hubei, where they have a large number of patients with 2019-nCoV for the treatment of patients with new coronavirus-infected pneumonia.
