Chongqing - Chongqing Municipal Health Commission announced January 27 morning that 110 confirmed cases of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), including 13 in serious conditions, and one in critical condition had been reported in Southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality by the end of January 26.

Chongqing’s important notices to prevent the further transmission of 2019-nCoV

• Centralize designated hospitals, outstanding experts, and medical resources to make every effort to treat confirmed patients. Strengthen the safety protection of medical personnel.
• Strengthen the control of production and procurement of medical supplies to meet the needs of epidemic prevention. Meanwhile, strengthen the quantity of living provisions to ensure a stable and orderly market supply. Strengthen medical waste disposal and guide citizens to dispose of protective equipment such as discarded masks properly.
• Strengthen market supervision, prohibit the sale of wild animals and their products, and severely crack down on illegal trafficking, processing, and management of wild animals. 144 from Chongqing Municipal Medical Team went to support Hubei
