– There are 14,413 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in mainland China as of 12:00 February 2nd, with 304 deaths and 331 recovered cases.

– Currently, in Chongqing, 262 cases of the novel coronavirus are confirmed as of 24:00 February 1st. There are 15 newly confirmed cases reported on February 1st，26 patients are in serious condition, and 6 are in critical condition. One patient died, and 3 have recovered.

– New coronavirus detected in the stool of confirmed patients in Shenzhen

Chongqing - The experts believe that with the increasing number of second-generation cases, the epidemic situation has become more complicated and severe. The second-generation cases are mostly caused by family transmission, and family epidemics need to be paid close attention to. Early detection, early isolation, early treatment of the source of infection, and cut-off of the transmission route are crucial. This also determines the future development of the epidemic. More importantly, prevention and control measures must not be relaxed.

Breaking: new coronavirus detected in the stool of confirmed patients in Shenzhen

On February 1st, Shenzhen Third People's Hospital revealed that their institute's research found that 2019-nCoV nucleic acid tested positive in the stool of some patients with coronavirus infection, which indicates the presence of the live virus in the feces.

At the Third People's Hospital, scientists are currently researching further virus isolation. Citizens are reminded to wash their hands frequently and wear a mask.

Series of traffic control on public transportation and highways in Chongqing

Non-Chongqing vehicles enter and leave Chongqing Expressway to make online reservations from 00:00 on February 4th. Make an appointment application at least two days in advance through the WeChat account "重庆高速ETC(Chongqing Expressway ETC)." The appointment content includes information such as entry time, entrance, and exit points. Currently, Chongqing personnel who are planning to return to Hubei province do not apply to this appointment. The travel time will be announced later separately. If an entry vehicle is successfully booked, enter and exit at the entrance determined at the time of booking. Otherwise, it will not be allowed to pass. The district/county government where the exit is located shall strictly strengthen the control, and all the drivers and passengers of the incoming vehicles shall stay at home for at least 14 days following the relevant regulations of Chongqing. 

From February 3rd: The total number of taxis in downtown Chongqing will be reduced to 6000. All online booking taxis are suspended. All rental cars are temporarily suspended.

From February 3rd: The operating bus lines and capacity will be reduced in the main urban area. People who are displaying a fever (temperature over 37.3 ℃) must not get on the bus. The total number of bus lines will be reduced to 200, and reduce bus transportation capacity in downtown Chongqing to 1,000 vehicles.

The CQ Municipality is actively combating illegal transportation operations. The public is urged to consciously reduce unnecessary travel and refuse to take illegally operated vehicles.
