Chongqing - As of February 19, 2020, 81 of the 100 key leading companies in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality have resumed their production and work, according to the Chongqing Economy and Informatization Commission.

Moreover, among the municipality's 277 key industrial enterprises and growing industrial enterprises calculated by independent legal entities, 192 companies that have resumed operation, including continuous production during the Chinese Lunar New Year, accounted for 69.3% of the total. The orderly and timely resumption of those enterprises has supported the steady operation of the city's industry.

During the epidemic prevention and control period, Chongqing has focused on 100 leading enterprises in automobile and motorcycle, electronics, equipment, materials, and other industries, to promote their orderly resumption of production and work, implementing "one enterprise, one policy, one case, one discussion." At the same time, 129 enterprises producing medical supplies and living necessities continue to expand production capacity to help prevent and control the epidemic.

The Chongqing Economy and Informatization Commission has established a working group for work coordination, and plan formulation arranged contacts to keep in touch with eight vital industrial areas. Four special groups involving epidemic prevention and control, logistics coordination, essential factors, and policies have been set up.

As of now, nearly 800 key enterprises, enterprises for important supplies production and major supporting enterprises have promoted the orderly production of upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain, by coordinating relevant districts and counties. For example, Liangjiang New Area, Yubei District, Beibei District, and Bishan District have achieved success in coordinating operation resumption by sending staff members to provide on-site services for relevant enterprises.

Chongqing will continue to ensure an adequate supply of production factors such as electricity and gas, and comprehensively sort out policies regarding taxation, financing, social security, logistics, energy use, and other aspects to provide services for production and work resumption.

There are a total of 50 specific measures for the preparation of production resumption and the prevention and control of epidemics. These measures involve nine aspects, namely, comprehensive check including home-based quarantine and timely medical treatment, regulation on business trips, optimization of working ways including online and regular disinfection, streamlining of meeting activities, separated meals including sitting separately from each other when having meals, logistics service including food procurement, daily protection including personal hygiene and environmental cleanliness, timely medical care including visits to designated medical institutions in a timely manner, and joint effort for epidemic prevention and control.
