(Guoyuan Container Terminal for short), which belongs to Chongqing Port Logistics Group Co., Ltd., is striving to overcome the shortage of personnel and the lack of supplies. Guoyuan Container Terminal adopts contactless delivery, micro working area, and fast channels for cargos to ensure the normal operation of the port area. During the period from January 23 to February 6, a total of 16,000 TEUs of containers were operated in Guoyuan Port and Cuntan Port, assisting in quarantine container ships and operating 46 ships.

For example, there was a batch of tar cargoes tacked in the terminal that will be loaded in batches and discharged from the warehouse, according to the customer’s demand from February 3. Those tar cargoes will be transported to a medical equipment company in Chengdu and will be finally processed as medical consumables, as the supplies to Huoshenshan Hospital and Leishenshan Hospital. Guoyuan Container Terminal set up a special team for epidemic prevention and control supplies. The team stored supplies in batches in advance and was on standby 24 hours a day, ready to ship the goods. To achieve the contactless delivery, once the customer scans and sends the outbound list to the designated mailbox, the staff would ship the warehouse after confirmation

So far, 640 barrels of transshipment tasks have been completed according to the requirements of customers.

Also, Guoyuan Container Terminal uses micro working areas instead of normal ones to avoid crowds. Staff uses WeChat platforms to hold conferences and meetings online. Moreover, employees make full use of smart platforms to achieve remote control to work normally and also set up work handover time and place to reduce contact.

Besides, Guoyuan Container Terminal opens a number of fast channels for cargos to ensure the security and efficiency passage of the epidemic prevention and control supplies, during the epidemic. In this way, the loading and unloading are ensured the fast speed.
