Chongqing Rail Transit: 18 construction bidding projects resumed construction

On May 22, the fifth bid of the Lijiatuo Yangtze River Double-line Bridge of CRT Line 18 was approved. The construction project officially resumed.

According to CRCC Chongqing Investment Group Co., LTD., the project had completed the construction of access roads and the assembly of floating platforms before the Spring Festival. After the resumption of work, it will quickly complete the protection of the old bridge, accelerate the excavation of the main pier foundation pit on the north bank, drill the platform on the south bank, and optimize the construction progress. In this way, all construction progress and target nodes can be guaranteed. Moreover, the project had established an emergency handling mechanism and a health status monitoring standing book to prevent and control the COVID-19 effectively.

In urban Chongqing, the branch of CRT Line 6 Phase II, Caojiawan Car Depot, had also resumed. The branch of CRT Line 6 Phase II is the Yuelai-Shaheba section, with a total length of 14 kilometers and seven stations. Caojiawan Car Depot is located in Shuitu Park in Liangjiang New Area, with a total land area of ​​ 37.9 hectares.

So far, there are 18 CRT construction bidding projects that have resumed, including CRT Line 4 Phase II, the southern section of CRT Line 5 Phase I, CRT Line 6 Phase II, CRT Line 9 Phase I, CRT Line 10 Phase II, and CRT Line 18.

According to Chongqing City Transportation Development & Investment Group Co., LTD., the group will strive to prepare the preliminary work of critical projects and also make great efforts to resume 109 construction bidding projects of 17 city traffic projects. For those sites which meet the standard of resumption, they will expedite the approval and try to achieve the full resumption by March 10.

Two Rivers Four Banks: resumption of regional governance improvement of Shanhu Park in Changbin Road

On February 24, as one of 10 public spaces, belong to Two Rivers Four Banks, the regional governance improvement of Shanhu Park on Changbin Road resumed construction. Meanwhile, another two projects, the Binjiang section of Ciqikou on Shabin Road and the Yabadong Wetland Park project on Nanbin Road, will also resume construction recently.

The scope of regional governance improvement of Shanhu Park on Changbin Road is from Caiyuanba Yangtze River Bridge to Dongshuimen Bridge, with a total length of 4.2 kilometers. Construction started at the end of last year.

According to Chongqing Water Conservancy Harbor and Channel Construction Group Co., LTD., there are 13 project managers in regional governance improvement of Shanhu Park on Changbin Road project and the first 16 workers who resumed to work are all from Chongqing. Additionally, the project department conducted a comprehensive inspection of the physical condition of these workers to ensure the security and health of them. Moreover, there will be 40 staff resume to work at the end of this month and 110 more in mid-March.

Besides, the project department guarantees a separate room for each worker and sets up a quarantine room at the construction site during the epidemic. At the same time, the project department requires workers to have a meal at a different time, with individual serving. The public areas, such as staff canteen, office, living area, and operation areas, will be disinfected twice a day. In addition, the project department also carried out a comprehensive security self-inspection on the construction site and tried to ensure epidemic prevention and control.

Terminal construction: the first 10,000-ton terminal in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River to resume construction

On February 21, Caijia Jialing River Bridge in Beibei District officially resumed construction, and the bridge officially entered the bridge deck construction phase. At present, the construction of the bridge has been completed more than half, and the construction of the main bridge, approach bridge, and branch road are in progress simultaneously. After construction, the Caijia Jialing River Bridge will connect the two major clusters of Caijia and Lijia, becoming an important channel connecting Caijia, Shuitu, Lijia, and the core areas of ​​the urban city from north to south.

Meanwhile, on February 23, Chongqing Zhongxian Xinsheng Port Project, which was undertaken by the China Communications 2nd Navigation Bureau 2nd Engineering Co., LTD., officially resumed work. This is the first traffic engineering project in Zhongxian to resume work. Xinsheng Port is the first 10,000-ton terminal in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, approved by the Chongqing’s Ministry of Transport. It is an essential carrier for Zhongxian to integrate into the Belt and Road and the construction of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.

To ensure the epidemic prevention and control, the project department had set up the health file for all workers and implemented closed management for the project’s resident and construction site. At the same time, they will strengthen the management of environmental sanitation in office and accommodation areas. They were adopting special measures, such as having meals at a different time with individual serving, decentralizing the work, and simplifying conferences and meetings to optimize the project work further.

Besides, the construction of the Xinsheng Port project will be gradually, and orderly resumed in steps and divisions, and strive to complete the port construction this year.
