The quiet scene of the Yangtze River Cableway is no unfamiliar to employees there. The cableway is shut down several times a year for routine maintenance and repairs, but this time is different.

The third-generation car was replaced by the Yangtze River Cableway about two months ago. A few days later, the annual tourist volume of the Yangtze River Cableway exceeded five million. If it were not for the COVID-19, the passenger flow of the cableway this year is likely to reach a new high.

On January 25, the popular Yangtze River Cableway was suspended due to the epidemic prevention and control. There were no visitors here. However, employees there will not stop working even though there is nobody here.

To avoid the crowds, employees of the Yangtze River Cableway began the shift system, entering the maintenance area with different time and batch. Meanwhile, the first one-day work hours were also adjusted to two days. At present, routine maintenance of the cableway has checked one by one.

After suspending, the Yangtze River Cableway will continue to trial run for some time while doing maintenance. All employees here carefully check various operating indicators during the trial run of the cableway to ensure that the cableway is always undamaged and safe.

So far, the scheduled maintenance was completed for the Yangtze River Cableway, including machinery, electrical appliances, traction ropes, twist distance, and other items. The purpose of employees sticking to their posts is to be ready to resume operation at any time.

Hongyadong: to inspect every two hours and daily disinfection for one month

Nowadays, although Hongyadong is close, it still beautiful at night. Unlike the usual times, since the park closed on January 25, Hongyadong seems to be asleep. However, over the past month, there are six security guards and three cleaning staff staying in the scenic area, inspecting every two hours, and disinfecting every day. They are waiting for the spring flowers to bloom and return the amazing Hongyadong to visitors after the epidemic.

At present, Hongyadong is striving to build an environment for the resumption of business and tourism after the COVID-19. At the same time, policies have been introduced to reduce the pressure on merchants. The scenic spot believes that after the epidemic, the number of people in the scenic area may usher in a small increase. For now, it is necessary to strengthen confidence and make good preparations.

Hongyadong's short separation from everyone is for a better reunion.

Tow-River Cruise: checked equipment once a week and wait for departure any instant

Chongqing Chaotianmen is the junction of the Yangtze River and Jialing River, and this is also the unique landscape of this city. Meanwhile, the Two-River Cruise tour is an essential tour of the trip to Chongqing, especially for the night skyline of the mountain city.

The Two-River Cruise tours were suspended from January 24, and the lights were not turned on except for checking the equipment on board. In addition to the occasional handover of staff members here, the calm river is tranquil.

There is four staff on duty, staying on board 24 hours, and shift every three days. According to the staff on board, "the boat is just like our home, and it needs someone to take care of it. Now that the Two-River Cruise tours are suspended, but the boat is also needed to be taken care of."

In addition to disinfecting the cruise ship every morning and evening, there is also a task, waiting for the beeping in the driver's cab. After hearing the beep sounds from the bridge, it means that the weekly check is completed, and the cruise ship can sail at any time.

The weekly check will spend about 40 minutes, and it is the foundation of the departure safely.

Yikeshu Viewing Platform: flowers are blooming, waiting for visitors

At seven o'clock at night, the neon lights flash the skyline of Chongqing city, along with the sinking sky. Yikeshu Viewing Platform is located in Nanshan Mountain, as one of the best places to enjoy the night skyline of Chongqing. But there is no one here in the Yikeshu Viewing Platform on Nanshan Mountain, which was full of crowds before.

After receiving the notice of closing the park at 16:00 on January 24, the Yikeshu Viewing Platform immediately adopted measures to close the park. The scenic spot cleaned and also disinfected fully inside and outside of the park. In particular, the restrooms, ticket windows, photography department, service department, and other key areas where many people usually gather, were strictly disinfected twice.

At the same time, the scenic spot arranged healthy staff to conduct the on-the-spot inspection, with 24-hour shifts. Staff is going to be checked body temperature before entering the park and will disinfect the scenic area one time each morning and afternoon. Meanwhile, the staff will implement the surveillance and control of the regions outside the park and advise visitors to leave.

At present, the facilities are being comprehensively inspected and maintained. Moreover, flowers in the park are blooming, and the scenic spot operators believe that when the day opens, they will welcome tourists with a new look.

Liziba Station: resumption is on the way

There is an unbelievable monorail station in the world – Liziba Station, which crosses the residential building in the middle. It becomes an Internet-famous place all over the world, attracting lots of people to come here to see if it is really here.

Since the COVID-19, when a monorail from Niujiaoyu Station enters the building of Liziba Station, the station is here, but people are gone. However, the epidemic prevention and control in Chongqing has achieved obvious results, and the city's resumption is on the way. Because falling asleep during the special epidemic period, attractions, including Liziba Station, will meet visitors with a brand new look, after the epidemic.

Liziba Cultural Tourism Service Center, the first cultural tourism service center of Chongqing Rail Transit originally planned to be commissioned during the Spring Festival, will be unveiled after the epidemic. It is built by three street-facing shops, with a total area of about 500 square meters and 11 different areas, including the interactive picture wall and service desk, the interactive digital screen, the rail compartment experience area, and more. On occasion, some culture-relative products, such as rail compartment models, bookmarks, fabrics, postcards, water cups, and more, will be unveiled here. There are not only signs of Chongqing Rail Transit on it but also many local cultural elements of Chongqing there.

Besides, the facade of the Liziba Station will also usher in the renovation, which will further make Liziba Station more beautiful.

Ciqikou Ancient Town: daily inspection and disinfection for the resumption

Since the COVID-19, in the street of Ciqikou Ancient Town, which used to embrace thousands of crowds before, there are only a few residents scattered across it. Many offline shops became online stores during the special period.

At present, cleaning employees are carrying a disinfection box and walk around every corner of Ciqikou Ancient Town to disinfect. Stone roads, shop gates, flower beds, trash bins, toilets and more, are key places of disinfection. On the other hand, security guards will inspect the ancient town to find those people who do not wear masks, fish, or take part in gathering activities. According to security guards there, the numbers of people who do not follow the rules are keeping reducing.

To alleviate the financial pressure of the merchants in the ancient town, the management committee here has repeatedly communicated with large state-owned banks, introduced preferential loan policies for merchants in the ancient town. Meanwhile, the ancient town provided one-on-one bank interpretation and handling services for difficult merchants. At present, nine difficult businesses have applied for RMB 10.3 million in loans.

It will not last for a long time. When Ciqikou Ancient Town resumes open, the delicious food there is the first choice for many visitors.

Testbed 2 Arts Center: to invite you to visit here again after the epidemic

During the epidemic prevention and control, the Testbed 2 was closed in the whole park. There is no longer needed to direct the parked vehicles to stop or receive inquiries from tourists for the park.

Testbed 2 is a good place for filming on the screen, such as I Belonged to You. From the first day after the Spring Festival, 95% of shops were closed, leaving some property employees to inspect and disinfect. Most of the time, employees here are alone, without anyone to talk to. When the deliveryman of the express came to the courier cabinet, the employee will check the body temperatures of the deliverymen as required. This is one of the few interactions during their work.
