The flight G54851 of China Express Airlines took off from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport on March 7, carrying 124 staff members of CCCC( China Communications Construction Company Limited) Xinjiang Transportation Investment Development Co. Ltd. to Korla for work resumption.
Before departure, the workers took a group photo in the terminal building.
“I didn’t expect to go to work on a charter plane, and I was well taken care of along the way," said a passenger on the flight. “Flying to work on a charter plane for the first time is an indelible experience,” said another passenger.
“After receiving the request for chartering a flight, we first reported to the Epidemic Prevention Headquarters in Bayingol Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture. Then we actively communicated for and successfully gained access to the green channel to Xinjiang from Bayingol. We have made every effort in a diversity of preparations, such as charter flight plan application, aircraft ferry, ground service support, and cabin service support, to ensure the departure of the flight as scheduled,” said Shang Shengzhe, a staff member responsible for the charter flight of China Express Airlines.
After arriving in Korla, the workers got off the plane in turn.
As of now, 19 charter flights of China Express Airlines have departed to put people back to work, accumulatively transporting 1,620 passengers in various industries. A total of 15 charter flights have departed to support the epidemic control, amounting to 1,161 medical personnel transported.
