Spring in full bloom at Nanshan Botanical Gardens – James’ Vlog

Chongqing - As we approach the middle of spring in Chongqing, the city parks are gradually re-opening to the public after a long closure due to the outbreak. During the COVID-19 epidemic, the city parks were closed off, and people had to remain at home. After such a long time stuck indoors, locals are yearning to visit them once again to enjoy the blossoming flora and the warmth of spring.

So in our latest blog post, we travel to Nanshan to experience the spring blossoms amidst the 'lungs of Chongqing,' one of the many caveats afforded to this idyllic location. As if anticipating our journey, Chongqing awoke this day to cloudless skies of blue.

Presently, there are still a number of restrictions in place, such as the need to register personal details when reserving tickets online. There is a limit to the total number of visitors permitted at any given time, and they need to produce their Yukang Code, and have their temperature taken before going in. Nevertheless, the fact people can experience the parkland delights of Chongqing again reflects how normal life is recovering.
