Recently, according to Chongqing Municipal Culture and Tourism Development Committee that Chongqing this year will construct three key cultural and tourism projects including China-Europe International Creative Art City, Chongqing Three-millennium Cultural Tourism City, and International Hotspring Valley Recuperation Demonstration Base to improve the quality of cultural tourism in Chongqing, release the development potential of the cultural tourism industry, and cultivate new momentum for development.

The Chongqing Three-millennium Cultural Tourism City is intended to be located nearby Jingangbei Historical and Cultural Block in Beibei District, Chongqing. With the Ba Culture, cuisine culture, the port opening culture, auxiliary capital culture, and the Three Gorges culture as the mainline to highlight the three-thousand-year historic culture of Chongqing, the Chongqing Three-millennium Cultural Tourism City will build the Immemorial Bayu Style Street, the Ba State Loyalism Pavilion of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, the Yi State Orphan Entrustment Hall of the Three Kingdoms Period, the Comprehensive Art Museum of the Flourishing Tang Dynasty, the Eight Guild Halls of Southwest China of the Qing Dynasty, the Three Gorges Style Street, the Bayu Homestay Street, and other projects. After the project is completed, the Chongqing Three-millennium Cultural Tourism City will be the cultural lounge of Chongqing and a destination of historical-cultural tourism.

The China-Europe International Creative Art City is intended to be located at Caijia, Beibei District. With a total investment of RMB 2.5 billion, the project, covering an area of about 33300 square meters, will be completed in two phases to establishing four functional sections, and plan for the construction of Culture-Tourism Creativity Enterprise Headquarters and Culture-Tourism Creative Products Trading Center.

The International Hotspring Valley Recuperation Demonstration Base - Jinyun Public Hotspring Project is originally an all-season national venue of recreation and fitness that integrates swimming, children's water park and hot spring nourishing. Later, in a bid to match with the highest international standard and introduce the advanced technologies worldwide, it will be repositioned and upgraded as the top International Hotspring Valley Recuperation Demonstration Base domestically, of which the demonstration role will drive the development of hot spring industry of Chongqing.
