On March 20, according to Chongqing Bonded Port Area Development and Management Group, within this year, the “Belt and Road” Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center, located at the Water Port Functional Area of Chongqing Bonded Port Area, will welcome five new national pavilions. In addition, the variety of characteristic commodities will be increased to 55,000 from the present 50,000.
It is introduced that the “Belt and Road” Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center converges first-class commodities worldwide in the form of “national pavilion.” At present, 20 national pavilions have been established, including the Germany Pavilion, Czech Pavilion, Malaysian Impression Pavilion, Russian Commodities Pavilion, Thai Life Pavilion, Italy Pavilion, Australia Pavilion, New Zealand Pavilion – Australian & Zelanian Lifestyle Experience Center, Kenyan Style Pavilion, Switzerland Pavilion, U.S..S. Pavilion, Polish Lifestyle Pavilion and Sri Lanka Pavilion.
In terms of the specific countries of the five added pavilions, the relevant person in charge of the Center indicated, “We are negotiating with target countries now. I cannot disclose relevant information, but we will make major selections from countries along the ‘Belt and Road.'” The person also expressed that the “Belt and Road” Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center is applying for the approval of the mode of “bonded online shopping + offline picking-up” from Chongqing Customs District P.R. China. Under this model, consumers are allowed to directly purchase and pick up goods at the “Belt and Road” Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center, which will optimize their shopping experience.
Besides, the reporter learned that the China Midwest International Exchange Center, collaboratively built by the Foreign Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, Chongqing Municipal Culture and Tourism Development Committee and Chongqing Bonded Port Area, will be constructed and inaugurated in the “Belt and Road” Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center in the first half of this year.
