Chongqing-  The 61st press conference of COVID-19’s prevention and control was held on March 29. From 00:00 to 24:00 of March 28, there were no new local confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Chongqing but one new imported case (from Cambodia). At the end of March 28, there were no local infections hospitalized, and three imported cases were all accepting the treatment in the hospital. A total of 24,090 people who had close contacts with COVID-19 patients have been traced, 23,742 people have been released from medical observation, and 348 people are still under medical observation.

The patient is from Dadukou District and has a history of travel in Cambodia, who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 (light) and has been transferred to the Chongqing Public Health Medical Center for treatment. In addition, the patient’s condition is stable.

At present, the global pandemic is rapidly spreading, the number of people coming to China and Chongqing continues to increase, and the risk of overseas imports is increasing. Therefore, Chongqing regards all overseas returnees, whether Chinese or overseas, all the same, and requires them to accept 14-day centralized quarantine medical observations. From March 26, all quarantine medical observations will be implemented. Chongqing will strengthen services and management to effectively control potential sources of infection and cut off transmission routes.

Meanwhile, international students and friends who still stay abroad should reduce unnecessary going out to avoid crowds, according to the local epidemic situation. At the same time, taking personal protection is of necessary, such as wearing masks and washing hands frequently. If you contacted with a confirmed case or have suspicious symptoms, you must seek medical treatment in time.

However, if you have decided to come back to China, you should check your body temperature several times a day to ensure that you do not have symptoms such as fever and cough. Contact your family or company in advance, report to the government where you live, and declare a health certificate. Moreover, you should optimize the return routes, reduce the number of transfers transportations, and avoid passing through countries and regions with outbreaks as far as possible. Besides, self-protection is the most important during travel back home.
