A digital platform for work resumption, created by Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce and Tencent, officially went live. It focuses on big data-empowered service facilitating Chongqing’s commercial and trading enterprises for their work resumption, helping them to build a new ecosystem of data management.

Commercial and trading enterprises in Chongqing have successively resumed production while strictly implementing prevention and control measures for containing the COVID-19 outbreak for consecutive days. As of March 23, a total of 37,060 enterprises in the city’s top 10 service industries have resumed production, with a resumption rate of 96.3%. In particular, foreign trade enterprises with an export amount of over RMB 10 million and foreign-funded enterprises above designed size have all resumed production.

For a comprehensive and dynamic understanding of the citywide work resumption of commercial and trading enterprises and material supply, Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce made only three-day efforts by working closely with Tencent to launch a digital platform for work resumption. By collecting the data about work resumption from 7,843 commercial and trading enterprises and foreign-funded ones in all districts and counties of the city, the platform displays the real-time production and operation of commercial and trading enterprises and import and export ones, as well as their work resumption.

Empowered by Tencent Cloud, the platform can generate the daily report about work resumption of the citywide commercial and trading enterprises after processing the daily data about work resumption input by districts and counties or enterprises through the WeChat Mini Program and collecting them into its core database.

The daily report displays the real-time and automatically updated work resumption of the city’s enterprises in different types and sizes and those in its districts and counties in the form of a visual chart.

Through the systematic analysis and forecasting about the city’s economic development after the epidemic, the platform can provide continuous data support for the supply of living materials, tracking services for commercial and trading enterprises and foreign trade zones, and the improvement of commercial policies. Moreover, it serves as a bridge facilitating the communication between the government and enterprises.
