Chongqing will implement 1,250 intelligent projects this year, and build 100 digital workshops and ten intelligent factories to accelerate the intelligent development process of industrial enterprises, according to Chongqing Economy and Informatization Commission on March 30.

“Affected by the epidemic this year, Chongqing’s industrial economy runs into scores of challenges. Now we are making every effort to speed up the recovery of the economy, for the purpose of increasing the value-added of Chongqing’s industry above designated size by 3% in the first half of the year.” The person in charge of Chongqing Economy and Informatization Commission said that the set goals of Chongqing’s industrial economy this year are to increase the value-added of industry above designated size by 6%, industrial investment by 7%, and the value-added of strategic emerging manufacturing industries by 10%.
To this end, Chongqing will exert its utmost efforts to advance steady growth, including boosting the rapid recovery of the industrial economy, stabilizing market orders, stabilizing industrial investment, and implementing “one policy for one enterprise” to facilitate the production resumption and full production of enterprises that have halted production or partially stopped production. In addition, Chongqing will seize major strategic opportunities in the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, and constantly strengthen the complementary advantages of industrial chain and the synergy of industrial clusters.
Chongqing will continue to implement a strategic action plan for innovation-driven development led by big data intelligence and take the task of building itself into an important city of smart manufacturing and a place renowned for the smart industry as the top priority of its industrial economic development this year. Focusing on the construction of the national pilot zone for innovation-driven development of the digital economy, Chongqing will continue to expand the industrial clusters of “chips, LCD panels, intelligent terminals, core components, and IoT.” Efforts will also be made to accelerate the process of intelligent transformation in five fields, namely, cultivating strategic emerging industrial clusters, developing key pillar industries, improving the innovation capacity of enterprises, expanding intelligent manufacturing, and developing producer services. Furthermore, Chongqing will make great efforts to attract investment, speed up the construction of key industrial projects, strengthen the guarantee of essential factors for the operation of the energy industry, such as coal, electricity, and gas. Chongqing will also implement the 40 policies for supporting enterprises to respond to the epidemic, and continue to optimize the business environment to further the rapid development of SMEs.
