In February this year, when China's domestic epidemic was critical, children from Milburn Primary School in Northern Ireland, the United Kingdom sang "Make the World Full of Love" in Chinese, and the video was widely spread on Chinese social media. Two months later, when the pandemic spreads to the U.K., the students of Chongqing Depu Foreign Language School used the rest time via online class to record the English song "Danny Boy" MV adapted from the Irish folk song "London Delhi Minor" to convey love and blessings.

Danny Boy`s music director is Chester Chen, the singers are students from Depu Foreign Language School, they are Anthony Shi, Jinx He, Katrina Yin, Austin Wang, Leo Li, Della Peng, Nicole Li, Emma Peng, and Gerny Zhang.

This is a melody that everyone in the Irish would know, and is even known as the "Second National Anthem." When you first listen to it, you may have a feeling that you have heard of it, because Secret Garden's famous "You Raise Me Up" is inspired by the melody of "London Delhi Minor".

Professor Michael Alcorn, one of the highest academic institutions in Northern Ireland and Queen's University Belfast School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, who is in charge of international cooperation, provided music resources for the song "Danny Boy". He was involved in the music production of "Game of Thrones".

On March 30th, after one day of preparation and two days of recording, the audio recording of the public MV "Danny Boy" performed by Depu students was completed. It took only 4 days from the decision to record, select the song, determine the singers, and the students to learn the song until the recording was completed. The time for recording videos is tight, and daily online lessons cannot be pulled down. So, the recorded MV was put after 7:30 in the evening. "During the two days of recording, every day started recording from 7.30 pm to 10.30 pm. The students paid great efforts on it, but they were all happy,” said Chester Chen, the music director.
