A total of 639 electronic enterprises above designated size across Chongqing have all resumed production as of April 20, according to Chongqing Economic and Information Technology Commission. In March, enterprises above designated size in the electronics manufacturing industry recorded output value of 56.27 billion yuan, up 27.5%.

“A vertically integrated whole industry chain of ‘complete machine + supporting components’ has been established in the electronics industry in Chongqing, playing a significant role in coping with COVID-19,” introduced the relevant person in charge of Chongqing Economic and Information Technology Commission. So far, 46 complete-machine enterprises, 237 supporting enterprises, and 356 other enterprises in this industry have all resumed production.

In the first quarter, enterprises above designated size in the electronics manufacturing sector achieved an output value of 105.11 billion yuan, down 9.5%, representing a decrease of 22.7% from January to February. In March, such enterprises reached an output value of 56.27 billion yuan, up 27.5%. The recovery rate of electricity consumption for the electronics industry was 121.5%, reaching a high level in capacity utilization, compared with the average for March last year.
