Chongqing- Access to quality education and facilities is core to the recent policy of 'Two non-concerns and three guarantees.' In recent years, Zhongyi Primary Schoool has seen the addition of modern classroom and administrative buildings, comfortable dormitories, and expansion to the canteen buildings.

In this second installment of our vlog in Zhongyi Town, we take a closer look at the conditions of school life for rural children under new education policies.

Zhongyi Primary School teacher Mrs. Ma Yingcui once graduated from the same school before it relocated to the modern campus it now occupies. After she graduated from university, she returned to the same primary school to work as a teacher. There are similar personal stories amongst the staff in Zhongyi Primary School, which helps create a special emotional bond between teachers and students here. During our visit, we saw Mrs. Ma as she busily marked her students' work in the teachers' office.

Students were yet to resume their classes at the school due to the epidemic, so I took the opportunity to explore the campus, which included a peek into living conditions inside the student dormitory, the modernity of classrooms as compared to larger cities, the staff facilities, and outside down on the sports ground.
