By JIEYU WANGDENG ZHANG|Apr 30,2020

Chongqing- Life in China has gradually returned to normality since the COVID-19 outbreak was brought under control, so the focus of Living with COVID19 has shifted to other countries across the world. Now China also has many students studying abroad, and their lives and safety are also concerned at home.  In this episode of Living with COVID-19, iChongqing has connected with two Chongqing students studying at the University of Leeds to tell the story of their lives in the UK during the COVID-19 outbreak.

One is Wu Peng, who is studying for a master's degree at the University of Leeds. He volunteered to make charts of new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the UK and published it on twitter every day since March 5, which was well-received by the public, and received attention from the media and official. The other is Yang Aowen, who is an undergraduate student in the school of engineering, the University of Leeds. He is also a volunteer of the Chinese Students and Scholars Association in Leeds. Recently, he volunteered to distribute anti-epidemic health kits for students.

The most obvious thing they can tell from their stories is that they feel very safe and they have the confidence to overcome this pandemic. As Peng said, " I think as Chinese students, we enjoy the same NHS services as British residents because we buy medical surcharges. If an infection does occur, there will be appropriate British medical support. And we, as Chinese students, also have all aspects of support of the Chinese student association and the Chinese embassy in the UK. So whether you stay in the UK or come back, you'll have a good safety guarantee."
