Promoting the Healthy China Action jointly: The two regions are going to strengthen their policy coordination and action linkage, jointly advance subject research, co-build and share a pool of experts, stage the Sichuan-Chongqing Cooperation Forum on the Healthy China Action in turn and enhance communication and discussion, thus striving for new achievements made for the Action.

Cooperation in improving medical service capacity: The two sides will join hands to erect an Internet + health care platform and facilitate coordinated application and connectivity of big data. Besides, they have planned to jointly construct a national, regional medical center and a national medical center and realize regional cooperation in offering Sichuan and Chongqing people higher-quality and more convenient medical services.

Joining hands in preventing and controlling major outbreaks: A joint prevention and control mechanism for major outbreaks and public health emergencies and a national, regional center for disease prevention and treatment will be established in the Chengdu-Chongqing Area. Medical security is a vital part of public services and a crucial element for effectively guaranteeing the connectivity and the free flow of people, goods, capital, and other factors between Sichuan and Chongqing. To better benefit people in the two places, they are going to enhance cooperation and learn from each other’s strengths to offset their own weaknesses.

Deep collaboration on talent training: Currently, Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital is conducting deep cooperation with Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CDUTCM) in talent training and scientific research. While summing up the experience of undergraduate teaching under the established system of CDUTCM, the hospital is further strengthening their cooperation in education and teaching of undergraduates, graduates, and students who have received the standardized training of resident doctors. It is also striving to make medical workers learn more theoretical knowledge and advanced skills to better serve the public.

Currently, Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital is conducting deep cooperation with Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CDUTCM) in talent training and scientific research.

Deepening hospital management connectivity: The two places will open up medical information platforms and share professional resources such as telemedicine and technical training. They will promote the experience sharing of hospital construction and the development of specific medical disciplines and build green channels for two-way treatment transfer with mutual recognition on medical examination results, so as to better serve patients in the two places.

Promoting quality development of traditional Chinese medicine: They take the initiative to integrate Chongqing’s three quality science and education resources of Chinese medical sciences, traditional Chinese medicine, and planting and to set up Chongqing Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. They also aim to boost the traditional Chinese medicine cause in Chengdu and Chongqing through conducting more cooperation in related education and teaching and giving full play to the talent and technical advantages of related universities.
