The “Strength of China”—Exhibition of Artistic Creations Themed on COVID-19 Prevention and Control by Sichuan Fine Arts Institute (SCFAI) kicked off at the Art Museum of SCFAI University Town on the afternoon of May 6, 2020. The exhibition was sponsored by the Publicity Department of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, Municipal Education Commission of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, Chongqing Federation of Literary and Art Circles, undertaken by SCFAI, and co-organized by Chongqing Artists Association and Chongqing Medical University.
Reportedly, at the critical juncture when the whole country is putting all-out efforts to fight against the epidemic, SCFAI rolled out the Artistic Creations Themed on COVID-19 Prevention and Control, with thousands of teachers and students actively participating, creating more than 1,000 theme artistic works.
Nearly 300 outstanding works were selected for the exhibition. These works vividly show various figures and touching scenes since the outbreak of COVID-19, dedicated to unfolding how China has battled against the virus, featuring the most beautiful “angels in white,” the brave people’s army, the guardians of safety, the volunteers for material transportation, the uncomplaining sanitation workers, the hard-working deliverymen, the compassionate community workers, the self-isolating ordinary people, as well as scenes of China actively donating materials and providing medical assistance to the international community.
On May 6, SCFAI announced that its Art Museum would be opened in an orderly manner from May 7, 2020, and the museum will be subject to booking and flow restrictions. The museum is closed on Monday, and reservation is required for people to visit the museum at other time. The Art Museum of SCFAI is one of the three major municipal art museums.
