On May 11, the first batch of universities such as the Southwest University of Political Science and Law and Chongqing Medical University was reopened. Over the next week or so, more universities like Chongqing University, Southwest University, Chongqing Normal University, Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, and Chongqing Jiaotong University will see students return to the campus by batch and grade. So far, all universities have made adequate preparation in all aspects like protective materials and management measures.

According to a superintendent from Southwest University of Political Science and Law, students will return to the campus at a staggered time based on grade and batch. Now, the university has gotten well prepared for this. For example, it added smart sensor taps, soaps or hand sanitizers at key areas such as university entrances, canteen entrances, and aisles, and conducted drills to simulate possible emergencies, so as to better protect teachers and students.

"We have prepared more than 500,000 masks, and enough other materials such as forehead thermometers, disposable gloves, and disinfectant." The superintendent added that the university has also set up a triage table and quarantine wards in the university hospital to ensure that emergencies can be handled in a timely manner.

Other universities such as Chongqing University, Southwest University, and Chongqing Jiaotong University have also prepared enough protective materials and strictly disinfected places in every link as required.

As more and more students return to the campus, what are the epidemic prevention and control work plans for places where students will gather like classrooms and canteens? At a canteen at Chongqing University's A Campus, the reporter saw widely spaced dining seats, and a table that can seat four students before now is only allowed for one student. On top of that, the canteen also specially purchased a batch of to-go boxes to provide free packaging services for students.

In terms of health management, many universities such as Chongqing City Management College and Chongqing Medical and Pharmaceutical College have established a three-level health monitoring system ranging from university, school to class supported by an online dynamic health file covering all teachers and students. Every student must have body temperature testing every day and submit data to their counselor for filing. Moreover, the "daily report, zero reports" system is introduced to keep close track of the physical health of all teachers and students.
