Among them, fourteen provinces and municipalities, including Chongqing, were rated as “good.” The Ministry of Finance and the Poverty Relief Office of the State Council awarded RMB 300 million to each of the 14 provinces and municipalities when allocating special funds from the central government for poverty alleviation this year.

Meanwhile, few problems were found in the assessment, and significant progress was made in poverty alleviation.
Data show that up to now, in Chongqing, all the 14 key districts and counties under the national poverty alleviation and development program and four key districts and counties under municipal poverty alleviation and development programs have been lifted out of poverty, so have all of the 1,918 poverty-stricken villages.
