As the water level of the Chongqing section of the Yangtze River continues to fall, many scenic spots that were once unseen when the water level was below 175 meters have emerged. In Jiangbei District, Chongqing, an Internet-famous river beach, is popular among citizens. Many citizens visited the river beach with relatives and friends in early summer when the weather is glorious.

The river beach was submerged under the water during the Three Gorges Dam's impoundment period, and only in low water season will it come up to the surface. "I saw somebody post it in WeChat Moments, so I brought my daughter to play here. Look how much fun she has," a visitor said.

Children played football and built sandcastles here. With Raffles City as the backdrop, the once little-known beach became famous on the Internet with its spectacular scenery.

As more and more people post it in WeChat Moments, the river beach has attracted many tourists from other places. Every time a ship goes by, the waves make the crowd on the river beach scream.

'Turtle Stone' in Chongqing Attracts Crowds of Visitors

As the water level of the Chongqing section of the Yangtze River continued to fall, a giant stone about five or six meters high, and about thirty or forty meters wide has surfaced. From a front or side view, the rock looks like a turtle lying on all fours, attracting crowds of visitors.

The "turtle stone" is located opposite Dongshuimen Yangtze River Bridge on Yuzhong Peninsula, where visitors can see the Raffles City, a building looking like a sail surging forward.

Recently, as the weather is gorgeous, the river beach where the "turtle stone" is located has become a good place for citizens to reminisce about the past and go sightseeing.
