5th Chongqing Cultural Tourism Consumption Promotional Season Kicked Off

Chongqing- To boost the Chongqing's cultural tourism market and accelerate Chongqing to build an international tourist destination, especially after the COVID-19 outbreak, Chongqing Culture, and Tourism Development Committee launch the  5th Chongqing Cultural Tourism Consumption Promotional Season (Summer) during the May 29 to August 31, 2020.

Qin Dingbo, the Vice Director of Chongqing Culture and Tourism Development Committee, delivered a speech at the launching ceremony.

This activity is themed as "Showcase the Tourism Boutique and Cultural Creative Products," which includes a series of special events, including online launching ceremony, online travel market, and network subsidies.

Due to the impact of COVID-19, some activities in this consumption season have shifted from offline activities to online live broadcasting. On the afternoon of May 29, the launch ceremony of the fifth consumer season was launched online through the combination of "pre-recording and Livestream". The fifth consumer season was officially launched through simultaneous live broadcasting on multiple Livestream platforms.

From June to August 2020, the organizer will hold each live broadcast every month, a total of 3 live events to promote the cultural tourism activities and products benefiting the people of Chongqing.

The first is the promotion of Chongqing culture and tourism products. The Livestream aims to promote the consumption of seasonal tourism products and cultural and creative products, including movies, performances, books, hotels, hot springs, homestay, resort, and so on. It also calls for people to participate in this season of consumer season. Tourists can receive coupons by watching the live broadcast.

The second is a special live presentation. The local dialect stars of Chengdu and Chongqing were invited to promote the cultural and creative products of the two places. Meanwhile, symbolic scenic spots of each place were selected as the background of Livestream, such as Hongya Cave in Chongqing and Kuai Zhai Zane in Chengdu.

The third is an online music festival. Local troupes and local bands will be invited to carry out the online music festival, and local original music works will be launched. At that time, many famous local bands and original musicians will be presented to create a strong artistic atmosphere.

Besides, this activity provides consumers with generous spending subsidies. The event is expected to benefit the people with a total value of 200 million yuan and might bring the income for tourism industry about 600 million yuan.Fcu
