On the afternoon of May 27, the third session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was wrapped up. During this year's Two Sessions, Chongqing-based CPPCC members submitted 119 proposals, of which 112 were placed on file, delivered 25 speeches at meetings, and presented 12 reports on social conditions and popular sentiment.

Meanwhile, the proposal on Supporting Chengdu and Chongqing to Build Western Science City as a Sci-tech Innovation Center with National Influence is a joint proposal by Sichuan-based and Chongqing-based CPPCC members. This joint proposal also marks a concrete action taken by CPPCC members based in Sichuan and Chongqing to promote Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle construction.
