Recently, several Italian newspapers published articles to express their gratitude to Chongqing's Rongchang District for donating medical supplies to Italy during the COVID-19 outbreak, saying they are looking forward to furthering cooperation with Rongchang in the ceramic field.

From November to December last year, over ten experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs engaged in the ceramic field from Italy, Germany, the United States, and Spain were invited to attend the 2019 Chongqing Belt and Road International Ceramics Forum in Rongchang. At the forum, they had in-depth communication on the cooperation in the ceramic industry at home and abroad. They planned to work together to promote the integrated development of the ceramic industry.
In March this year, the COVID-19 started to rage all over the world, leaving Italy one of the hardest-hit countries. After knowing about the lack of epidemic prevention supplies in Italy and Spain, Rongchang's government actively mobilized enterprises in the areas under its jurisdiction to collect epidemic prevention supplies such as masks, protective suits, and goggles and donated them through artist communities from different countries, meeting the pressing needs of local artists and hospitals.
On May 29, the official Facebook account of Montecassiano municipal government posted a letter of thanks from its mayor, Leonardo Catena, to the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing, in which the mayor repeatedly mentioned the great significance of Rongchang's donation to local public services and families.
IL SETTEMPEDANO, a newspaper in San Severo City of Marche, reported that "Rongchang District in Chongqing, China, with a population of more than 0.8 million, was among the first to send medical supplies to our city."
Professor Pizzichini Carlo, an attendee of the 2019 Chongqing Belt and Road International Ceramics Forum, expressed his special thanks to Rongchang for donating protective supplies to him in a personal interview with La Nazione on May 17.
